The usual influences for these patches apply but also some more rock bands such as The Police(I'm talking Ghost in the Machine)and if you don't know any of these names below. As such the patches will often dip a cap to these instruments. I discovered that the Gaia can sound a lot like the OBX and the Synthex and obviously very close to classic Roland vintage gear. The Gaia lends itself well to more classic sounds but I tried to stretch it into other areas such as more FM and digital synthesis, which is not really what I found it was designed to do. So I took this patch reboot as a challenge to overcome, I hope you agree. That said it is not the most flexible synthesizer I've ever worked with. I’ve created sounds on request from Dave Smith Instruments to put on their Prophet 12 and Pro 2 as their factory sounds. more the best sonic results from any synthesizer I’m working with.
